You're not seeing things. This wine is actually from Canada! It’s a soft, supple example of Pinot Noir that is not as ripe as its counterparts in the US or France. The Pearl Morissette Pinot is very pretty on the nose, with light red fruits and some earth coming through. The palate is mineral driven and airy, with a touch of stemmy greenness. A delicate Pinot like this one will do very well with things like mushrooms, either simply roasted or in a pasta or risotto. Try it with richer fish dishes, too like Salmon and Beurre Blanc or Lobster Thermidor for a one of a kind pairing.
