Andreas Gsellmann is a talented young winemaker who recently took the helm of his family winery. When we taste wines like this, we wonder how he can manage such a classic, mineral expression with only so much experience. Opening with notes of lemon and orchard fruit, along with slate, the palate is snappy yet rich, with a purity that's hard to match.

Weissburgunder, or Pinot Blanc, is a great pairing option as it presents both high acidity, but also richness. Serve alongside simply grilled seafood or soft, mild cheeses like Camembert or Brie. However, nothing would beat a classic roast chicken with plenty of butter and root veggies.
