One of our favorite bold reds from 2022, this dark and dense Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah blend opens with sweet red fruits and a whiff of smoke and savory olive. The palate is heavy and up front, but balanced, with present tannin bolstering a deep palate of the same savory red fruit and just a touch of oak. It's a wine that's singing now but will continue to develop in the bottle with some time. BROODING ROCKY DARK SWEET-FRUITED RUSTIC
Syrah and smoke just want to be together, and this is a great wine for a classic brisket plate or a smoked pork shoulder. Don't be afraid about overpowering this wine! It’ll stand up to a butter-basted steak with a bordelaise sauce, no problem.
