Tasting Notes
A great example of Côtes du Rhone from one of our favorite small producers. With opulent red fruit, along with a hint of baking spice on the nose and substantial, food-friendly tannin, it's a wine that's both generous and serious. You may question why there's a fish on the label. In France, on April Fools’ Day, people will pin pictures of fish to each other's backs as a prank. Incredibly, one of the proprietors of the winery, Élodie Devaux, and her two daughters were all born on April 1st! But this wine is no joke, enjoy it over serious and silly dinners alike. BROAD-SHOULDERED RICH EARTHY WEIGHTY SERIOUS
Pairing Suggestion
These days, you'll find Rhone reds on most restaurant lists, and for good reason! They're excellent pairing partners. This wine will do well with all proteins, including lighter ones like chicken or game, or heavy beefy dishes. The fruit in the wine will complement rich vegetable pastas and risottos, as well.
